Skills for Neurodivergent Students

Navigating university as a neurodivergent student comes with unique challenges. The Library is here to help you every step of the way – and we are excited to introduce our new series of workshops, featuring advice and guidance to support your development of important skills.

Dates and time: Tuesdays, 12 pm–2 pm from 29 July through 7 October (excluding mid-semester break).
Location: Megaflex 63, Swanston Library, Building 10, Level 6, RMIT city campus.

Pick and choose the topics most interesting to you or register for all workshops.

  • Workshop 1: Neurodiversity 101, self-advocacy and overview of workshop series
  • Workshop 2: Time management and organisation skills
  • Workshop 3: Creating a conducive study environment
  • Workshop 4: Note-taking, research skills and using the Library
  • Workshop 5: Understanding and managing executive functioning
  • Workshop 6: Memory techniques and retention
  • Workshop 7: Writing skills and overcoming writer's block
  • Workshop 8: Stress management, self-care and unmasking 
  • Workshop 9: Social anxiety and public speaking
  • Workshop 10: Life hacks for wellbeing and career success.
